I read this on Jihad Watch and just had to share it.
Symposium on Islam – What the West Needs to Know
The article is an interesting dialog on what appears to be a great doccumentary on Islam.
Here is a rather stout excerpt:
…all fundamentalists are being lumped as fanatics. At the BBC in England during one interview the interviewer stated to me that “the problem with today’s world is fundamentalism” to which I responded “Christian fundamentalists give the world a headache, I confess, but Muslim fundamentalists will whack your head right off your shoulders, sir” I was quickly thanked and escorted out of the BBC.
I suppose it depends on how you guage fundamentalism, I fall in the mix of Christian fundamentalism I guess. I believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. I believe Jesus is the Son of God. I believe it is impossible to be saved apart from Christ. If that makes me a fundamentalist, so be it. But I have never had an urge to whack someone’s head off if they had the audacity to question the authority of God’s word. Though I have had some liberal Christians try to bite my head off for daring to quote the scriptures to them. Not the same thing.
Islam is, at it’s core a violent religion of coerced submission. Stand ready Christian brothers. You too might be given the choice between dying for Christ or living for Allah.
But woe to that man who gives up his soul to save his life.
