Jumping Jehoshaphat!

I think I finally understand where the saying that is the title of this Blog comes from… I started building the timeline for Jehoshaphat… I normally study the relevant chapters, marking them up in Logos using Precepts methods (inductive markups). Then I write out the major events, organized by time and geography… Next, I compare my results with the professionals, making corrections where they seem justified… Finally, I build up a XML file with the basic information, and add formatting and hyperlinks, spell check, and test…

I’ve been busy with the organizing by time thing… Jehoshaphat seems to be jumping in and out all over the place… And don’t even get me started on the his son having the same name as Israel’s king… Anyway, I should have a new timeline ready in the next week or so, but may need to revise it depending on feedback…

The Pocket PC program goes better than I thought… I can now load and display a XML file, and I even managed to do in in Visual Basic…. After I get the timeline done, I’ll see about posting an exe for the Pocket PC for folks to see what I’m talking about…

Not that I don’t have enough of these side projects, but I also plan to formalize some instructions I posted in the newsgroups for creating MP3 from books in Libronix and the Speech Add-In… That may not be so bad as all I really need to do is take what I already have and format it, adding some screen shots and deciding whether to make it a PDF…
