J. Gresham Machen: The Origin of Paul’s Religion

I have created a PBB resource of J. Gresham Machen’s book, The Origin of Paul’s Religion. You can download it by clicking on the attachment link below.

Machen taught at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1915 to 1929 and was the last of the “great” Princeton theologians, including B.B. Warfield and Charles Hodge. Machen was a contemporary of the prolific Geerhardus Vos, who also taught at Princeton.

Candlish: Commentary on 1 John

I have created a PBB resource of Robert S. Candlish’s commentary on 1 John: The First Epistle of John Expounded in a Series of Lectures. You can download the book by clicking the attachment link below.

These lectures were delivered between 1860-1864. He organizes his exposition of the book around three central words: light, righteousness and love, corresponding to the maxims, “God is light;” “God is righteous;” and “God is love.”

Enjoy!

Grace,
Bill

Will You Forgive

It is Sanctity of Life Sunday. In pulpits all over the place this morning, pastors are addressing the sanctity of Human life. I wish to do the same, but not from precisely the same perspective. I’ve been here long enough that I’ve already spoken on the value of the unborn and our need to protect them. I believe we should continue to support NLPC1 and as much as possible increase our support.
