Biblical Training you really should.
I’ve been looking at the site for quite some time now and finally created my account to get started. While I’ve wanted to do so for quite some time I found a tipping point. Dr. Gerry Breshears has posted a “foundations” level course TH251: Spiritual Warfare.
Having taught Principles of Spiritual Warfare since 2004 in Haiti on an annual basis I’m always looking for other quality materials. I’ve only just started the course but so far I’ve enjoyed hearing it from Dr. Breshears’ perspective.
Here’s the overview of the course:
“There is an ongoing battle between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. Followers of Jesus, who are in the kingdom of light, have been given authority by God to command demons. By studying Jesus’ life and other passages in scripture, we can gain insights into how to respond to the influence of demons effectively.”
I absolutely love the core methodology here. Here’s someone teaching about Spiritual Warfare and daring to use the Bible as the source of wisdom! Thank goodness! You won’t believe (or maybe you would) how many sources of Spiritual Warfare teaching appear to have less respect for the word of God than they do their own experiences. Colossians 2:18-19 anyone?
