Praying for our Students from Elementary School to College

This evening I want us to dedicate ourselves for the purpose of prayer and reading the word on behalf of the new school year.

I want us to take as our primary passage for prayer guidance from 2 Thessalonians as a whole.

There are in fact so many prayer needs that if you feel at any time you want to pray for one of the following please do: Students, Faculty, Administration, Teachers, Homework, Roommates, Fresh challenges at every grade level, Athletics (esp. safety and life balance), Entertainment (That students will have fun while maintaining a positive, Christian attitude.), Finances, Dating Relationships,Parents of Students, Local Community.

As we begin our prayers tonight, let us first take our turn reading the word of God: 2 Thessalonians 1-3 Listen for Cues in the text which will enable us to begin praying according to God’s word for our students, teachers, administrators, parents and community.

Excellent Podcast to Subscribe to

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, one of my favorite pastors who’s podcasts I listen to is Dr. Neal Jackson, who was preaching down in Pensacola, FL, during the Rejoice in the Lord telecast.

He has now moved to the beautiful countryside of Bennett, NC, and he’s now preaching at Beulah Baptist Church. If you’d like to continue to hear his wonderful sermons, head on over to their website and click on the Podcasts section of the site.

You’ll really get a blessing out of his sermons. He is such an excellent pastor and I thoroughly enjoy listening to him!
