Tozer Knowledge of the Holy Day 12: God’s Omnipotence

This entry is part 13 of 24 in the series Tozer-Knowledge of the Holy

In today’s reading, Tozer touches on the omnipotence of God. Our God is all powerful. Heaven and earth are at His very fingertips. We are but mere weaklings in the sight of such an everlasting powerful God. God will also use His omnipotence to show us His will for our lives. Charles Stanley said it best in the Life Principles Bible when he said, “if necessary, God will move heaven and earth to show us His will”. Let us reflect today on our omnipotent, all powerful God. Heavenly Father, as we reflect upon your omnipotence, we realize we are but mere weaklings in the sight of an all powerful God. Help us to trust and to tap into your everlasting power, so that we can as Isaiah said “mount up with wings as eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint”. We ask this in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Tozer Knowledge of the Holy Day 11: God’s Wisdom

This entry is part 12 of 24 in the series Tozer-Knowledge of the Holy

In today’s reading, Tozer touches on the wisdom of God. The verse that best comes to my mind is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths”. We do not have to lean on our own, finite knowledge and understanding. We can trust in the One who possesses infinite wisdom and understanding. Trusting God means we will also obey God. Charles Stanley put I best in the Life Principles Bible, “obey God and leave all the consequences to Him”. We are to put our trust and obedience in God, knowing that He will take care of the rest. Heavenly Father, as we reflect on Your wisdom, we do want to trust in You, lean not on our finite understanding, obey You in all things, knowing You will take care of the rest. Give us the wisdom and understanding we need day by day, and keep us dependent upon Your wisdom. We ask all of this in Your Son Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Tozer Knowledge of the Holy Day 10: God’s Omniscience

This entry is part 11 of 24 in the series Tozer-Knowledge of the Holy

Tozer takes God’s immutability a step further in today’s reading by touching on God’s omniscience. God is all knowing. He has never had to learn anything. He holds eternal wisdom and knowledge. While our minds are finite and limited by the knowledge we must learn, God knows everything in His infinite omniscience. We can trust God and depend upon God by, as Charles Stanley puts it in the Life Principles Bible, “looking beyond what we can see to what God sees”. Heavenly Father, as we reflect on Your omniscience, we know that You hold eternal wisdom and knowledge. Help us to fully put our trust in You, to look beyond what we, our finite, limited minds can see, to what You, in all your infinite wisdom and understanding, can see. We ask this in Your Son Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
