Tozer Knowledge of the Holy Day 9: God’s Immutability

This entry is part 10 of 24 in the series Tozer-Knowledge of the Holy

In today’s reading, Tozer touches on the immutability of God. God never changes. He has always been the same, and He will always be the same. What a comforting thought! Our weather and seasons constantly shift, humankind and history can be so fickle, yet our God is set in stone on His immutability. He is steadfast, solid, unwavering and unchanging. Let us all reflect on our immutable God as we ponder today’s reading. Heavenly Father, as we reflect in your immutability, we are comforted that You never change. You never let us down. You are always there for us. Your Word is trustworthy and reliable because it is nailed down and as unchanging as You are. We thank you and rest in your immutability. We ask this in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Tozer Knowledge of the Holy Day 8: God’s Infinitude

This entry is part 9 of 24 in the series Tozer-Knowledge of the Holy

Tozer touches on God being infinite in today’s reading. Reflecting over today’s reading helped put into perspective just how finite we as human beings are. We uses terms such as “unlimited”, “endless”, etc., when in reality our lives are still limited and finite. The only being in the universe who is truly without limits and infinite is God. It is such a humbling thought to see how mere we are in terms of such a great, mighty, infinite God. Heavenly Father, as we reflect on Your infinitude, we humbly realize how finite we are and how boundless and limitless You really are. Give us the strength to tap into Your everlasting love and wisdom in order to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of You and a deeper relationship with You. We ask all of this in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Tozer Knowledge of the Holy Day 7: God’s Eternity

This entry is part 8 of 24 in the series Tozer-Knowledge of the Holy

In today’s reading, Tozer touches on the eternity of God. God transcends time. He sees the entire tapestry of time before Him. While we can remember our past, live in the present, and plan for the future, only God sees eternal past, knows everything occurring at the present, and can foresee our future. He knows the end of the story of history. He has even revealed it to us in His Word (Revelation). He sees and knows even the other side of eternity. As we reflect on God’s eternity, let us rest in the assurance that He works in His perfect timing to take care of our needs. Heavenly Father, as we reflect on Your eternity, we know that You transcend time. You already know the end of the story of history and see the other side of eternity. We trust You and rest in You that You will fulfill all our needs and Your will in Your perfect timing. We also know that those of us who are saved and adopted into Your family have an eternal home awaiting us in Heaven. We ask all of this in Your Son Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
