Father, Keep Them From Straying

This entry is part 24 of 30 in the series Praying For The Prodigal

Almighty God, in protecting children from the paths followed by prodigal souls, please work in their lives, helping them dwell on the things of Your kingdom that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:8).

This is a prayer to keep them from straying away.  We’re called upon to fill our minds with things that are true.  The constant cry of the world, the flesh, and the devil tries to draw our children away.

Pray that God will protect our children from the path of the prodigal.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.” (Philippians 4:8, NASB95PARA)
