When Was the Bible Really Written?

Found an interesting article that suggests oldest written quotes from the Bible can be found on a piece of pottery Carbon dated to c1000BC... I personally don't put a lot of stock in carbon dating, but we should be able to validate this via other methods such a layer the pot was found in, material type, etc....
