Found an interesting article that suggests oldest written quotes from the Bible can be found on a piece of pottery Carbon dated to c1000BC... I personally don't put a lot of stock in carbon dating, but we should be able to validate this via other methods such a layer the pot was found in, material type, etc.... The pottery shard was discovered at excavations at Khirbet Qeiyafa near the Elah valley in Israel -- about 18 miles west of Jerusalem. Carbon-dating places it in the 10th century BC, making the shard about 1,000 years older than the Dead Sea scrolls.
