President Barack Obama is the first black man to attain the highest office in America and I congratulate him, though I did not vote for him.
I also will be praying for him as the president elect and later as president. For the next four years come what may he holds the helm and we are plainly told in God’s word what our duty is.
first of all then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings be made for ….all who are in authority so that we may lead quiet and tranquil lives in all godliness and dignity…
— 1 Timothy 2:1
Thus I will pray that God my father will bless, encourage, correct and direct our president. The same prayers which I have prayed for President George W. Bush, and for President Bill Clinton before him.
I love my God and I love this country, therefore I will pray.
